A Likegate is a gate (like a landing page) to encourage visitors to like your page before continuing to see your tab’s content. A likegate is also what we call our Only for Likers app, and you can create a custom likegate for each of our Facebook tab apps.
You can create a likegate the following ways:
- Upload an image
- Create a text or HTML message
- or Use our default template
Ways to use a likegate to encourage visitors to like your page:
- Welcome message
- Benefits of liking your page
- Announce events
- Promote a contest
- Highlight products or services
Note: Due to recent Facebook regulations, a likegate must include a “skip” option.
